Watch out… moving beyond the human
Daniele Ninarello, Simona Bertozzi, Nicola Galli, Stefano Mazzotta and Pietro Marullo talk to Claire Lefèvre about dancing beyond the human
Dance artists at NID 2019 speak to Springback about three ways of thinking about moving beyond the human. First, the relation between natural and choreographic processes, in terms of natural patterns, life forms and living processes. Second, about the relation between the human body and the inanimate world of landscape, materials and objects. Third, about decentring the human being in relations of coexistence, conflict and co-operation.
Watch out… for the female gaze
Chiara Bersani, Silvia Gribaudi, Masako Matsushita and Francesca Foscarini give female perspectives on seeing and being seen
Being female – what considerations does this bring to the interplay between seeing, showing, performing and witnessing? What are its erotics, and who commands them? Chiara Bersani, Silvia Gribaudi, Masako Matsushita and Francesca Foscarini – and some of their collaborators – explore these questions from their standpoints as dance artists and performers.
