ABOUT

The decision to create PINBODY comes from some sort of an urge—an unspoken certainty that this moment would one day arrive. We are five artists, dancers, and makers with distinct voices, yet our connection was forged years ago during our formative training at the same arts high school. Despite diverging paths, spanning countries and disciplines—from performance and choreography to video, theatre, and interdisciplinary art—we now feel the need to reunite on stage, fifteen years later, to explore how our distinct trajectories can intersect in a shared creative language.

PINBODY brings together five Slovenian artists: Nik Rajšek, Enya Belak, Veronika Valdés, Beno Novak, and Jerca Rožnik Novak. Our journeys have taken us into different countries, disciplines, and directions, yet we are drawn back to the same question: how does time shape the body, the artist, and the collaboration? We want this performance to be an exploration of the years that have passed and the hopes for the future, a reflection on the possibility of artistic synergy in Slovenia and beyond.
