BLUFF

Through the expression of two moving entities, BLUFF investigates the images/perceptions of individual bodies in society. Bodies turn into market goods and thus become the centre of the spectacle – the same market is in constant pursuit of something better, more beautiful and more spectacular.

FROM THE PRESS

The gesture from the title of the performance Bluff, which by definition means a blindingly dazzling or arrogant appearance without content, or expresses the performance of something without prior preparation, like bluffing, is a priori brave performance by Enya Belak, Jerca Rožnik Novak and Veronika Valdés, besides all, it is also humorous.
[Metod Zupan, Neodvisni]

The dance performance Blef proves to be an authentic mirror reflection of false social glamour, illuminated by the spotlights of contemporary art, presented to everyone’s view and for the decision regarding the content of their own market-consumer niche, this seductive illusion of the universe of life; and ultimately also of the superficial kitsch.
[Daliborka Podboj, Parada plesa]

BEHIND THE SCENE

As a starting point for the research, the dance duo uses the field of fashion, which with its ambivalent attitude towards the human body verbally illustrates the complex dynamics that arise between the environment and the individual. An individual, a subject who under the spotlight slowly but surely turns into the object.
